Dearest Wine Club Members,

We hope that you had a wonderful summer and that your fall has been off to a good start, as well. As most of you know, we recently remodeled the tasting room and patio and we could not be happier with the new digs. The view is especially hard to beat.
   
   

Harvest is in full swing here at the winery, and it looks to be another award winning vintage. This October wine club shipment consists of the newest release of one of our favorite wines, the 2016 Cold Creek Ranch Chardonnay, and one from our home vineyard, the 2016 Red Hen Ranch Chardonnay. The light and flirty 2015 Ghost Ranch Pinot Noir is ready to make its debut, while the strong and lush 2014 Mast Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon requires a little more patience (but it's worth the wait).

   
 

2016 Cold Creek Ranch Chardonnay, Carneros

Retail: $30.00 / Wine Club: $24.00

Notes: The appearance of golden straw leads you through an aromatic journey with notes of sweet nectarine and vanilla. The wine has flavors of jasmine that is complemented by a creamy mouthfeel and hints of lemon curd. The finish lingers on the palate, making you yearn for the next sip.

   
 

2016 Red Hen Ranch Chardonnay, Oak Knoll District

Retail: $35.00 / Wine Club: $28.00

Notes: With a sophisticated nose of baked pastries and granny smith apple; this unique wine will allure you to sweet memories of springtime. The creamy entry leads to notes of lemon meringue, brioche, and hints of oak spice, which are sure to satisfy your palate's expectations. With a crisp acidity on the finish, this wine is easily paired with a variety of dishes from spicy Pad Thai to a delicate poached halibut.

   
 

2015 Ghost Ranch Pinot Noir, Carneros

Retail: $48.00 / Wine Club: $38.40

Notes: A true stunner, this Pinot has a ruby red plum hue which leads to a youthful, fruit driven nose of dark cherry, vanilla, and hints of cinnamon and clove. The ripe, juicy palate explodes with flavors of cherry compote, vibrant acidity, and undertones of raspberry and cranberry. This complex Pinot Noir would be the perfect duo for a cedar plank Salmon filet or a pork tenderloin.

   
 

2014 Mast Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon, Yountville AVA

Retail: $80.00 / Wine Club: $64.00

Notes: The alluring appearance of the viscous deep purple legs invites the nose to enticing aromas of baking spice, dusty blackberries, sweet oak, and buttered croissants. The low acid palate is complemented by layers of pipe tobacco, black cherries, and ripe plum. With soft, supple tannins, this wine would pair beautifully with a rack of lamb or anything that comes from the grill. Enjoy at a moment's whim or cellar for four to six years.
